Branch merge diff view garbles Korean text across the project

Current Behavior

In the Branch Merge diff view, Korean (Hangul) text is displayed as garbled/incorrect characters across the project (widgets, App State, and other string values).
After completing the merge, the final project displays Korean text correctly.

Expected Behavior

Korean text should render correctly in the Branch Merge diff view, matching the actual project values.

Steps to Reproduce

1. On main, use English text anywhere in the project.
2. Create a branch and change the same value to Korean.
3. Start merging the branch into main.
4. Observe the merge diff view showing garbled Korean text.
5. Complete the merge and confirm Korean text displays correctly.
