What is the game data during each of the shifts?

Looking at the game data details, it says the data is either 'R' or 'B'. What is the game data during the auto, transition, and endgame? Is it empty, or is there a different value?

I'm working on updating Cheesy Arena Lite and would like to know what packets to send when. When is the game data containing the empty string sent? Is it during the pre-load or at the start of the match?

Between the beginning of the match and this point, the Game Data will be an empty string.

My reading of this is that the FMS will guarantee that the game data received by the robot by the time the match starts is the empty string. In practice I'd expect that to be sent immediately when the DS connects to the FMS?
